A Very Merry Kenya Project - Princess Diana

Image
A note from our friends at Hands That Love You.... "We wanted to share about our new Kenya project. We are so excited about this one as we have a big heart for Africa as did Princess Diana . The students now have the bricks to start building rooms inside the building that was built, we donated the iron for the building a while ago. You can see the helpers with the orphans. We are preparing to get these rooms built as the labor has to be paid, not like India where the people do the work for free in most cases but they do get paid in food, clothing and basic needs. We will be working on a new video end of January so that you can see the new projects we have been working on. Stay tuned for more!....." Thinking of you at this time and sending our love, Adele and the team Hands That Love You helps around 500 orphans, widows and families in Africa, India and the Philippines. The unique aspect of our Charity is that we not only help provide basics, b...

So, last night in my studio, I’m reviewing an image of when I met Diana 36 years ago as a 12 year old in Australia when I see something totally surprising… …Something I had never seen until now. Let me just say… this is not just any image, this is thee image that is an integral part of the Princess and the Platypus Foundation and aforementioned museum; thee entire reason for this whole project coming to fruition. And what do I see… Nothing less then the very platypus that I picked up in the dirt (read more about it in The Story) that Princess Diana had dropped on the very day she inspired the rest of my life. The image above is the moment after she dropped it and it’s at her feet! Zoom in, Zoom in, Zoom in….. To Be Continue….

Image
In 10 days we will depart LA and head to the UK on a grand adventure for the Princess & the Platypus Foundation (PPF) and the Princess Diana Exhibit. This February we are headed to London to pick up our Versace dress from Kensington Palace where it has been the feature dress at the exhibit " Her Fashion Story " for the past 2 years.  While we are there we are photographing not only our Versace dress (pictured above) but also three other dresses that were on loan from another private lender; a Catherine Walker (red & black dress), a Victor Edelstein (green dress),  a Jacques Azagury (gray dress), and a Yuki Torimaru (purple dress) (all pictured below) as well as 4 sketches from Roland Klein. All photos will be part of the Princess Diana Exhibit (launching in Spring 2019) and proceeds will benefit The Princess & the Platypus Foundation. If that's not exciting enough, our trip will also include a photoshoot of the Jacques Azagury dress an...
